What is Yoga Nidra Meditation?
Yoga Nidra is a powerful experience of progressively relaxing and restoring physically, energetically, mentally, and emotionally that naturally opens us to accessing our intuition, unconditional joy, and deep restorative peace. The Yoga Nidra process also makes it completely possible to clear out useless habits and bring about positive and durable changes in your personality by using a sankalpa (intention) at the start and the end of the practice.
This immensely powerful guided meditation technique, also known as “yogic sleep”- can be described as the conscious state between wakefulness and sleep, allowing deep relaxation and a sense of wellbeing. It’s a guided practice and great for anyone who finds it hard to switch off and relax (i.e. most people!)
Benefits include better sleep, improved mood, reduced stress. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra can reduce chronic pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia and PTSD.
Yoga Nidra is also a great way to learn the basics of pranayama, or yogic breathing, since Eve will tell you when to inhale and exhale during each pose. This is an extremely personal journey, all Eve does is guide you towards your own release or manifestation.
Eve has been practicing and exploring countless forms of meditative practices for almost 10 years. Her unique teaching makes her guided meditations very relaxing and easy to follow weather you are a beginner or advanced practitioner.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring a mat, a bottle of water and lease feel free to bring any crystals, candles, journals, pens ANYTHING to personalize your ritual.
